Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Oslo

We begin in the vibrant city of Oslo. You have the opportunity to explore its rich history and cultural attractions. Today we will fit our bicycles and make sure everything is all set for our ride. In the evening we will enjoy our first meal together and get ready for the adventure ahead.

~66 km and 1130 of elevation gain.

Leaving Oslo, we embark on our gravel adventure, cycling towards Jevnaker. Pedal through beautiful countryside scenery, passing by idyllic lakes and rolling hills. Our route takes you along the old Kings Road connecting Oslo and Bergen. The descent off the kings road into the valley is amazing! Our ride finishes with a great gravel track and a visit to Kistefos and the Hadeland Glass works. before our stay at the Thorbjørnrud Hotel brewery and winery.

Day 3: Jevnaker to Flå

Today's route takes us deeper into the heart of Norway's natural wonders. Today we ride through the beautiful Norwegian countryside and begin to really climb up to some majestic view points. We finish the day at the Thon hotel in Flå. This is a great spot to relax and take in the long days.

Day 4: Flå to Gol

~57 km and 710m of elevation gain.

Leaving Flå we have our shortest but also one of our most beautiful days of riding. With small country lane and gravel tracks today is a nice ride that finishes in a ski town with lots of amenities and hiking options if you wish.

Day 5: Gol to Haugastøl

~80 km and 1280m of elevation gain.

Today's ride takes us to Haugastøl, situated at an impressive elevation of 1000 meters above sea level. Just a few kilometers outside of Flå we leave the pavement behind and ride one of the best gravel roads I have found in Norway. Dotted with lakes, streams and alpine views this section is stunning. As you approach Haugastøl, the landscape transforms into an alpine wonderland. Here our hotel looks out over the the lake Ustevatn. Here we will enjoy a meal and rest before the final day of riding this trip.

Day 6: Haugastøl to Fläm

~80km and 649m of elevation gain

Our final leg of the tour leads us to the picturesque village of Fläm, nestled in the heart of the Norwegian fjords. Todays route is along the iconic Rallarvegen cycling route. Most of todays route is only accessible by walking or riding. This gravel track is a mix of smooth gravel, light mountain biking and sometimes the occasional snow field. The village of Finse, where we will eat an early lunch, was the filming location for the “Battle of Hoth” in The Empire Strikes Back. As we cycle towards Fläm, we'll witness the grandeur of the magnificent waterfalls that cascade down the mountainsides. As we approach civilazation there is a twisty gravel downhill that opens up to a view of the Aurlandsfjord.
