Beginning in the elegant capital of Luxembourg City, the route follows the gentle curves of the Sûre River to the lively town of Diekirch. Quiet country roads, picturesque villages, and riverside scenery provide the perfect introduction to the relaxed pace of cycling in Luxembourg.
From Diekirch, the journey heads north through the rolling hills and forests of the Ardennes into Belgium. The historic town of Bastogne offers a fascinating blend of wartime history, welcoming cafés, and one of Europe's great beer cultures—a fitting place to celebrate another rewarding day in the saddle.
Leaving Belgium behind, the route returns to Luxembourg through the spectacular Our Valley to the fairytale town of Vianden. Dominated by its magnificent hilltop castle, Vianden is one of the country's true highlights, where medieval streets, riverside terraces, and stunning scenery come together in unforgettable fashion.
The final full day takes you across the border into Germany, following quiet roads and vineyard-covered hills to the ancient city of Trier. Founded over 2,000 years ago, Trier blends remarkable Roman monuments with lively market squares, excellent restaurants, and a vibrant atmosphere that provides the perfect finale to your journey.
On your final morning, a scenic ride along the Moselle River returns you to Luxembourg City, completing a remarkable loop through three countries. Arriving back where the journey began, you'll see the city with fresh eyes, carrying with you memories of castles, forests, river valleys, and countless shared moments along the road.
