This Beer & Bike adventure celebrates one of the best Rail Trails in the United States. The Katy trail is a cross Missouri trail that is exclusive to cyclist and hikers. Along the way we will hop off the trail to sample some great beer and overnight in small towns and cities. If you are looking for an easy going ride this one is for you.

Trip Itinerary

This Beer & Bike adventure is a 236 mile ride along Missouri's Katy Trail. The Katy Trail is a long rail trail that is motorized veichle free the entire length. We will over night in smalll Bed and Breakfasts and hotels in rural Missouri. Each town has great midwestern character. If you are interested in a bicycle holiday but want to avoid cars and riding on the road this trip is for you. Our van will set up ad stations along the way at cross streets while you roll along stress free and smiling.

Day 1 - Arrive in St Charles This afternoon we will meet at our hotel and enjoy a pre-ride dinner. We will spend some time in the afternoon setting up bikes and going over trail rules and such, don't worry we have a cooler of beer for the orientation.

Day 2 - St Charles to Washington - 38 miles The 38 miles between St Charles and Washington are calm. You will pass by where Daniel Boone lived out his last days. We will stop for a break in Agusta and visit the winery and brewery there. Finishing in Washington we will relax for the evening and laugh about our great afternoon of riding.

Day 3 - Washington to Hermann - 30 miles, A calm 30 miles between Washington and Hermann todayt will allow you to enjoy more car free riding and beautiful scenery. Arriving in Hermann we will stop by the Tin Mill Brewery and/or a number of the wineries in this cute little town. Many of the buildings in town are national historic landmarks.

Day 4 - Hermann to Jefferson City - 48 miles Another great day on the trail will bring us to the capitol of Missouri. Jefferson City has a unique brewery called Prison Blues after the old state penitentiary. Here we will relax on the patio and enjoy a calm evening after a great ride.

Day 5 - Jefferson City to Boonville - 48 miles Riding to Boonville we will again be greated by classic small town hospitality and charm. For anyone who would like we will have a shuttle into Columbia to sample a few breweries and enjoy dinner. Dinner is also available in Boonville for those who would prefer to have a calmer evening.

Day 6 - Boonville to Sedalia 36 miles Another great day of rural rail trail riding bring us to the small town of Sedalia. More post card style chram from small town Missouri waits for you along the trail.

Day 7 - Sedalia to Clinton 38 miles
After a celebratory beer in Clinton we will shuttle you back to the beginning of the ride or if you coming from Colorado you are welcome to ride back to the mountains with us.

All lodging during the adventure, based on double occupancy, if you would like your own room there is a single supplement available.
All inclusive including all meals, beers, and lodging along the way.

Cue sheets, GPS and guided directions for each days adventure.
Luggage and gear transfer between hotels.

Price Does Not Include

Transportation to and from the adventure.
Pre and post tour accommodations.
Our guides and field staff are around before and after each tour. If you would like to stay with us give a call and we are happy to help you sort it out. Liquor drinks and wine.

Single Supplement

If you are traveling alone or just do not want to stay in the same room as the folks you are with we have the option for a single room for an additional $500.

Participant Requirements

Must be able to ride a bicycle.
Must be 21 years old to drink beer.
This trip requires an intermediate level of fitness. The daily rides vary from 20 - 50 miles.
