CHARLESTON, S.C. TO SAVANNAH, GA
Connecting two of the most beautiful cities of the south this tour takes you through picturesque country side and along the ocean on an adventure you will never forget. We will ride past grand southern plantations, historical battlefields while sampling local libations along the way. Upon arriving in Savannah we will take a historical ride around town. A ride around the oldest city in the state of Georgia will show you why Savannah is one of the largest National Historic Landmark Districts in the US. At the end of our journey you will have the option to kayak in the tidal streams near Tybee Island just east of Savannah.
Day 1 - Charleston We will meet in Charleston and head over to the Southend Brewery and Smokehouse for our pre tour meal and to get to know each other. Lodging in Charleston
Day 2 - Charleston As we venture out of the city on an up to 70 mile ride through South Carolina's Low country you will ride though forested routes and farmlands. This ride has numourous point to start and finish so riders of all levels will find a portion they will enjoy. You may ride as much as you would like on this day. We will help you choose the best portions for your ride. Lodging in Charleston
Day 3 - Beaufort Today's ride is about 25 miles featuring another of the south's beautiful cities. In Beaufort we will sample some tasty beers at the River Dog Brewing Company. Lodging in Beaufort
Day 4 - Savanah We will transfer to the alluring and mysterious city of Savannah, GA. We will stay in the historic section of Savannah and sample some of the many local craft breweries. Todays ride options vary from 20-50 miles of great Georgia cycling. Lodging in Savannah
Day 5 - Savannah
On our last day of riding we will have a leisurely cycle around the Old town of Savannah and take in many of the historical sites and stories of one of the most interesting cities in America.
